Grand Canyon Visiting Tips

It has been years since I have gone to the Grand Canyon!  As an Arizona native, it is expected by most outsiders that us Arizonans make trips out to the Grand Canyon as a normal vacation.  I’m not sure how accurate that assumption is, because I have known many people that have never even been to the Grand Canyon… so myth busted!  I digress.  I made my way out to the national park with one of my close friends and my sorority (little) sister for our college Fall Break.  It was BEAUTIFUL!

The weather was in the mid 60’s and the sun was out and shining down on us.  It was my dream day in the middle of October!  It was awesome; first, we made our way to the South Rim and had no issues with parking or finding our way around!  I highly recommend getting to the park before 10 am because the closest parking lots get crazy-packed around that time.  Also, we packed a picnic-lunch to eat after we perused and it was scrumptious!  However, there is a lodge restaurant that a lot of tourists visit, and I bet it is fabulous too… bwe were so happy to fill up our cooler with our favorite goodies.

We were walking around and were trying to find our way back to the shuttle (which is free and will bring you back to the parking lot to make life so much easier) and we stumbled upon a deer and a buck!  I was joking around earlier about it being a necessity to run into wildlife, and low-and-behold!
